Three specialist services, delivered by people who have run programmes from the inside.
Each one ends with the work done and your team better able to carry it forward.
From idea to revenue. Faster.
Good technology fails commercially all the time. Usually it's because go-to-market work starts once the product is finished, and by then there's no pipeline and the IP window is closing. We run go-to-market alongside development, from day one.
Sound familiar?
- The product is ready to launch, with no customers lined up.
- The engineering is proven, but nobody can answer 'how do we sell it?'
- You're entering a market where you have no relationships.
- The founding team are technically strong but light on commercial experience.
- The product and the market are drifting apart.
- Your IP advantage has a shelf life, and the clock is running.
How it works
Three phases, each with a checkpoint before the next one starts.
What you receive
Performance and attributes, delivered by people who have done it.
For EV start-ups, scale-ups and commercial vehicle OEMs, at any stage of a programme. We work as embedded engineering support, as integrators across attributes, or as the independent voice your senior leadership need before they put their name to the next milestone.
Every consultant is a former OEM Chief Engineer or Principal Attribute Engineer with 15+ years' experience. No juniors, by design.
Four problems we solve, repeatedly
Four stages, the same shape for every engagement
- 1InitiateThe Pi Diagnostic. Two senior consultants on site for one-to-ones, workshops and a review of your documents. A concise report and a face-to-face playback, not a 200-page deck.
- 2DeliverAt the depth your problem needs: a discrete deliverable, integration triage, or design-to-deliver embedded with your engineers. A weekly update, without exception.
- 3VerifyRobust means defendable. Every requirement is linked to a way of validating it, and we check the question as well as the answer.
- 4Sign-offWe sign off on readiness, not on timelines. The signature stays with you. We make it defendable.
It tells you which of the four problems are real for you and what to do about them. Many engagements stop there. Some grow.
Start with a Pi DiagnosticFrom a blank page to an architecture you can commit to.
The first six to twelve months of an EE programme carry the most risk. The architecture isn't settled, the requirements are still moving, no suppliers have been chosen and the legislation is unclear. Internal teams are stretched thinnest, and Tier 1s and large engineering service providers are least interested: they're built for production, where the scale and the budgets are.
We turn ambiguity into architecture. And we're called in later too, when a system in service isn't behaving the way it was designed to.
What we deliver
- EE architecture at sub-system, system and whole-vehicle level
- System requirements broken down, and failure modes analysed
- Concept work for embedded systems
- Prototypes, where a theory needs proving before you commit to production
- A functional design that tells you which suppliers to source from, and who should take it into production
- In-field issue resolution: root cause and fix when an electrical or software system misbehaves in service
How we work
Automotive and embedded-systems programmes first. Increasingly the wider mobility sector: e-mobility, micro-mobility, off-highway, marine and robotics.
Series production (we hand over to production partners), general-purpose operating systems such as Linux, or application software outside mobility. Defence and aerospace are out of scope for now.
